‘Egg’cellent Easter

The Easter theme is a great way to develop children's understanding of new seasons and the environmental changes which take place. Easter symbolises new life and growth; which can easily be seen in the immediate environment. Easter symbolizes rebirth, so we have been planting some flowers  together. Children love to help, and we can teach them about the planting process, feeding and nurturing what you plant, and how it grows.

We have also been getting creative with various activities over the Easter period. Creative play is a great way to build your child’s communication and social skills in a fun and supportive environment. When children are engaged with their chosen material you’ll notice they talk to themselves about what’s happening, as well as with their peers. This in turn leads to building their vocabulary and developing their imagination. Imaginative and creative play benefits your child in a way to express both positive and negative feelings. It also helps them to work through difficult emotions and to understand them.

We have also had our holiday club over the easter period which enable our children to reconnect with old friends. “The good news is the friendships children make during their preschool years will become a great support system”. Although the benefits of friendship for early childhood development are sometimes overlooked, friendship can have a tremendous impact on mental and physical health.
