Parent Portal

Here at First Steps Nursery we want to ensure our parents are kept up to date with all aspects of nursery life including detailed updates of your child’s day, observations and assessments completed by your child’s key worker and invoicing and payment information. We use Parenta’s Parent Portal to ensure we keep parents informed, the app includes the following information;

Track your nursery account; Account balance and invoice breakdown with downloadable invoices and payment receipts can be accessed within the app, even when the nursery is closed. This means you can see all payments made and received and your remaining balance.

Sessions; A calendar view of past, present and future booked sessions can be viewed in one handy place.

 Daily Updates; For all children in our baby and toddler room the practitioners will record all nappy changes, sleeps, meals and how much was eaten as well as a snippet of some of the activities your child completes throughout the day. We feel this is really important for parents to see and we know many of you enjoy seeing what your little one has been up to. 

Observation and Assessment; Practitioners are able to upload observations of the children showing their learning and development whilst at nursery. Photos and videos can be included and from this practitioners are able to make next steps for the children and share with parents all of their wonderful achievements.  

Home observations; Parents can upload observations and photos from home to share their child’s learning, development and achievements at home. We love seeing updates from home and can use these when planning for the children if they highlight particular interests or new areas of development to work on.

The easy to use parent app is available to download on both Andriod and iOS devices. To download simply type ‘Parenta’ into Google Play or Apple App store to find it.
