September Fun at First Steps Nursery!

Welcome to September at First Steps Nursery! 🍂 This month is packed with exciting activities and new adventures for our little ones. As the leaves start to change colour and the air gets a bit cooler, we have a lot of fun planned to keep everyone engaged and learning.

Back to School Excitement

September marks the beginning of a new school year, and we are thrilled to welcome both new and returning children to First Steps Nursery. Our Pre-Schools are buzzing with excitement as children reunite with friends and meet new ones. We focus on helping everyone settle in comfortably, with plenty of fun ice-breaker activities and games.

Exploring Autumn

One of the highlights of September is exploring the wonders of autumn. The world around us becomes a treasure trove of fallen leaves, acorns, and conkers, so we are asking our children to bring these things in as they find them for our Autumn collages. We also have storytime sessions where we read books about the changing seasons and the magic of autumn.

Learning Through Play

At First Steps Nursery, we believe in learning through play. This month, our themes include “All About Me” and “My Family.” These themes help children understand themselves and their relationships with others. Activities include drawing self-portraits, family tree projects, and role-playing games that encourage social skills and empathy.

Parental Involvement

We love having parents involved in our nursery activities. Next month, we have parent-practitioner meetings to discuss each child’s progress.

Looking Ahead

As we move through September, we look forward to all the learning and fun that lies ahead. At First Steps Nursery, every day is an adventure, and we are excited to see our little ones grow and thrive.
